What you will be doing
 

As a Business Development Director, your focus will be developing new business opportunities for AwecommThis includes active prospecting to create new leads, leveraging a referral network to generate leads, and activating new leads from Marketing. The expectation is to focus only on new business and the role does not have ongoing account management responsibilities. To be successful, we will need you to:   

  • Build and maintain a consistently strong sales pipeline
  • Perform Effective prospecting and leverage professional network to generate new leads by:  
    • Attending networking events 
    • Participation in Associations 
    • Participate in business development networking groups to provide leads and ask for referrals  
    • Leveraging LinkedIn and/or other social media platforms to share valuable content and insights (provided by Marketing) 
    • Participation in Awecomm events 
    • Cold call/email leads in target market 
    • Track and report sales activities in CRM  
  • Effectively conduct First Time Appointment (FTA) meetings with prospects that serves as the discovery meeting and determination for their fit for Awecomm services
  • Achievement of defined results: 
    • Completion of a minimum of 2-4 new First Time Appointments (FTA)/month with qualified accounts to explore services with Awecomm  
    • Referral network size & performance generates on average one new lead per month 
    • Achieve metric of 20% of FTAs result in proposal to prospect 
  • Develop and direct Sales Qualified Accounts (SQA) through the sales process with support and involvement of Awecomm Executive Leadership 
  • Build and Manage a successful referral network – communicate & connect with key referral sources that creates new sales opportunities 
  • Development and enhancement of sales process that increases number of quality leads and % that result in new proposals  
  • Provide information and knowledge transfer of new client’s business to operations team for successful new client onboarding 


Experience & skills that will enable your success

  • Proven track record of success with solution selling role, including 5+ years of success in a new business development role where annual/quarterly sales goals were consistently met or exceeded 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or relevant field 
  • High business acumen and the analytical ability to understand a complex sales process and effectively communicate business value to executive level audience 
  • Excellent communication skills, especially as it relates to conveying clarity with complex topics 
  • Highly proficient with use of technology, including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and online CRM systems 
  • Proven success as a sales hunter for new opportunities with small-midsize organizations (25-1000 employees)
